You’re absolutely right (write!) and this is a very good thing. No writer is EVER is good as they wish to be. That means we keep striving, editing, reading, pushing. Until we keel over dead. I will never ever ever be a good enough writer and I have won plenty of prizes. Who the F — K cares? What matters is that I care about my readers, my grammar, and my willingness to be humbled by the creative process. Truth? I hardly know shit. Also truth? I am a damned good writer. Not as good as tomorrow, better than yesterday, and nowhere near as good as next year. Don’t worry. Just write. :-)
