Hey- as you begin your research I want to strongly recommend Peak Planet if for no other reason than I just summitted Mt. Kenya with one of their top guides, Bosco. These guys are the best, and I can speak personally to their professionalism. I’ve researched the costs, and Thomson (WAY OVERPRICED) is more than double, REI is (RIDICULOUS), and there are plenty of others at the low end you don’t wanna know. I know this team well and have for five years. Done three trips with them and am planning another. So for my time and dime, their mid-range pricing is balanced for what they offer in terms of a stellar safety record and the best guides on the mountain. This is your decision, clearly, but I do want to recommend the folks I know best and trust the most. You needn’t go broke, but you also need the confidence of a great team. These guys are.
