Yes. Every single time I climbed my way to making between- and yes this is real- $2600 and $3100 a month, within one or two months I saw it cut in half. Every. Single. Time. You could argue that half that is okay, but not when it's my primary income, and also now that people are informing me that they can hardly even find my stuff any more in their feed, and now my stats tanked (another thing that has happened four times) and with that, the income is even lower. I am well aware that I'm one of their top producers and after announcing my move, a number of folks admitted to me that the only reason they stay on Medium is my writing. Well hell's bells. Why on earth put up with all the outrage and the angst and the silliness if you want my stuff? I'm still going to be on Medium but perhaps one article a week vs. seven or eight or more. And my best stuff will only be on my website. I plan to build some options in so that we can converse, and it becomes a wholly different level of community. That's what kept me here too long. What that means is that I really have to freakin up my game even more and I like them odds. Thanks so kindly.
