Yeah, I read them too, and kinda wondered what article they were reading, cuz it wasn't yours. In Spokane there's this place called The Mill, which has a magnificent compendium of unique stores, NONE of which are repeated anywhere else, all of which express their owner's unique personalities and buying tastes. I LOVE that place. It's one of the few left. When I head up there that's where I go. If we had stopped chopping down all the fucking woods for malls, we might also have hiking trails. That of course is still outside, but to your point. All spaces controlled and monetized. That's what I see.
