While this may or may not be useful or relevant, David Perlmutter's Grain Brain books might be of value. I gave up grains thirty three years ago, and my weight loss, along with a dedicated exercise plan and dietary disciplines, have kept me a size 6 on top and a size 2 on bottom since with rare exception. I LOVE bread. I think that the kinds of bread matter, of course, but there is an argument that some of us- and I'm not referring to celiac sufferers here- just don't get along well with bread products. I could scarf three dozen hot Krispy Kremes in a heartbeat, and be miserable for a week. A few minute's pure ridiculous pleasure ain't worth a week of agony. Totally agree with intermittent fasting, albeit it will vary for each of us. These days I keep a supply of those single serving Chicken of Sea packets in my kitchen and in my car at all times, and boy do they do the trick. That and a supply of Honey Crisp apples.
