We all get there in our own time, Jody. The truth is that societal messaging is intense, pervasie and all powerful. I don’t judge anyone for where they are on their journey- we’re all precisely where we’re supposed to be. Having faith in that is enormously healing. I have plenty of my own shit to deal with, to say the least. Learning to fall in love with the self in all its “tattered finery” (I’m doing a piece on that this morning) is a life long journey.
