Tony this is such a powerfully important response it deserves a separate article. Anger is simply exhausting. After I got back from Indonesia last Friday, I spent a little time on FB and was utterly shocked to observe how swiftly the vitriol came back when a few choice memes landed on my page. After all that work to relax and slow down and be in a magical place, I allowed myself to be manipulated into super bitch in about fifteen seconds.

There is absolutely no question in my mind that Facebook is one of the best AND worst things to happen to us. While I am grateful for the connections to people I’d otherwise have lost, the sheer cost to my blood pressure and heart health in over reaction to things I can’t control, things that hurt my soul (from photos of burning orangutans to mutilated dogs, talk about torture porn, holy Jesus) to the idiocy of this Administration, I am done giving this medium permission to ruin my day, upend my happiness, and put a stake into the heart of my joy.

I’m going to give this more thought and develop the idea. Thanks so much for that. Love your point.
