To this I might add that I make my own, only in the sense that I purchase plain whole milk yogurt, sweeten with Stevia and organic cherries or strawberries. You’re right, they do add a ton of sugar. I recommend the book “The Case Against Sugar” by Gary Taubes among others. For a while I used to buy Noosa yogurt which is sinfully good, until I read the sugar grams on the package. I don’t mind the fat calories so much but I DO mind the loads of sugar.

To your point about the life-long war, boy can I relate. When I gained some 15 lbs last year after breaking my back, I was both troubled but also mindful that the body changes. Then I went to Indonesia, got a horrific case of the flu and could barely eat for a month. It’s all gone now. The body just does what it does. If someone had done me the courtesy of teaching me to concentrate more on fit vs. fat, my life might have been very different. Thanks for your comments.
