This was hard to read. We at Illumination had a similar experience. People are so unpredictable and ugly at times, Shannon. We were able to not only set boundaries but also have that person removed from Medium. I’ve seen more trolling and more hate this year. If you build a beautiful building, termites will come. If we writers, editors and staff do not adhere to the guidelines put forth by Medium, it will dissolve into the same unfortunate story as so many forums that began with such high hopes.
