This is just heartbreakingly, achingly true. As someone who has put my time into both corporate and entrepreneurial workforces, it gives me deep heartburn to see women — who are capable of far better — simply do what so many of us did in the 1980s. Dressed like men, tried to be like men, and sold our souls in the process.
This is no different. We haven’t come very far, baby, if all we do is rehash the past, dress it up for a new Decade/Century, and do the same stupid shit not only to ourselves but also our sisters, and to the very good men who have a right to expect more of us.
