This happened to me on medium in 2022. THIS IS NOT NEW. I joined in 2018, during the following five years algorithm changes cost me thousands of dollars. Back in summer of 22 I went from a healthy four figure a month to about $27. Wrote about it. People poo-poohed my complaints, called me childish, churlish, blah blah. That change nearly cost me my house, my car, everything. Now, nearly three years later, there Medium goes again. What part of this are people NOT getting? I finally just left. SCREW this platform. I cross post every so often because I still have readers, but the only reason is because I count the subs when potential clients ask me for numbers.

Now some of the same folks who attacked me for pointing this kind of thing out are, interestingly, complaining. ILLUMINATION has always done a great job of supporting, informing, educating, better than any other pub on Medium. When you guys throw in the towel, frankly, people need to pay attention.

If you have a paying job, stick around. This won't bother you. If you count on this income, GET OUT.
