They no longer respond to any of my inquiries, Tree. I went from 48,000 reads to 18,000 in a matter of days. I put in fifty hours of writing, for an average of .96 per hour. This is Medium, now, today. They can argue "bugs" all they want, Tree, but after three years on this platform, and now earning between 35 and 50 bucks a week from 7.4K viewers and growing all the time, this response to me is pure, unadulterated bullshit. Forgive my lack of trust. This year I've watched my stats plummet four different times, without reason, and certainly without my doing anything other than write my ass off. If I sound frustrated, you got it. I have written them seven or eight times, they don't respond any more, other than, before this silence, to say it's "bugs." No. Tree. I don't believe that any more. Because if you do a little sleuthing they have turnover issues, and more sleuthing you find out that they aren't the place to work that they advertise, which speaks to a toxic culture of some kind. Didn't used to be. Not until this year. I used to offer the benefit of the doubt but not any more. You can only diss your writers so much before we get the message. We're being used for profits, and they aren't inclined to offer much of a share of the earnings any more. I have no problem being wrong, and I hope I am, but I do not see any improvements on the horizon. I am working on an exit strategy, because like many of us, I HAVE to create an income. Medium cannot be counted upon to treat anyone but shareholders with respect.
