There is an awful Catch-22 here, in what you describe as shaming people who say they hate body shapers, then those who choose to at least begin the journey risk being shamed at the god-damned gym when they show up to do the work. Having been big, I can relate, albeit my journey was pre-social media. You can’t win. However I love your line about not owing anyone an explanation. Your life. You manage it. It’s nobody else’s business.
