The journey, as it were, Dick, is as unique to you as it is to me. Each of us has resources (financial and otherwise) which allow us to do the kinds of explorations that lead us where we ultimately can go. Often people don’t, because what’s hiding behind the rocks on the journey are our self-doubts, pain, hurt, insecurities…the roads we most certainly don’t wish to walk. But to walk them is to gain strength.

I think that the journeys are both outward and inward. Not everyone is born to be an explorer. However we are born to be explorers of the self, for if we don’t we are doomed to a level of mediocrity and denial that prevents us from living a wholly different kind of life. Not my choice. Not your choice. However there is no good or bad. If we want to have the perspective, and the peace that can be gained through that perspective, then we have to pay the Piper. Thanks as always for your comments.
