The far larger question is what are you going to make of your life that is worth writing about, Brian? For if we all fall into the pity party woe us me I AM SO OLD in our fifties, why don’t we all just bite a cyanide capsule on that birthday? Or, you can choose, like my friends and other fellow live out loud folks who also write on this platform, go redirect, redefine, challenge what doesn’t work ( like, find more positive people to read who ARE living out loud) and make your last forty one hell if a novel. My what a novel idea.
The lady is welcome to her well written but rather depressingly negative pov. For my part, I’ve got reindeer to visit when I return to Mongolia as soon as the borders open back up. Not making that up. I’m an adventure athlete with twelve years on you Brian, and I started at sixty by topping Kilimanjaro. You want stories on how to remake a life, change where you read. Lots of incredible folks on here who are out making a difference not complaining about how old they are. But hey, that’s just my opinion. We all have the same hours in each day. Up to us as to how we spend them.
