The current best guess is that some 7% of all the world’s seven and a half billion women have been raped. That’s, um, 525,000,000 of us. This is just what we know, Ann. Chances are very good that the real numbers are much, much higher.
Dr. Ford’s story is MY story. Her testimony is MY testimony. And shame on the lying, vicious, evil people who promote, protect, shelter, justify and encourage people like Brett Kavanaugh who are a pox on the public. But then, see current Administration.
I say let Kavanaugh get confirmed. Because when the Democrats take the house and Senate back over, and we will, they will not forget what the Republicans have done. The FBI investigation that WILL take place into Kavanaugh and the subsequent public flaying (impeachment) of this lying, ugly piece of vermin will be nothing compared what he has subjected the American public to, and especially Dr. Ford. She has endured death threats for the courage to tell the truth. She is hardly alone. And that is a travesty in and of itself. It’s no wonder that so many other women DO. NOT. SPEAK. UP. Who in God’s name has the courage to subject themselves to this kind of kangaroo court?
Dr. Ford did. She speaks for all of us.
As I said in a separate piece, We are pissed off and we vote. We are coming this November. To pilfer a famous film phrase, We’re mad as hell and we’re not going to take it any more.
