My forever lesson, as emphasized by those people- including very close friends of mine who cannot help but gloat I told you so when the current BF dumped me on my birthday this year (article coming forthwith), is that I don’t know shit about why anyone else does anything. To not allow for the simple reality that all of us in our own ways balance the pros and cons, and move forward with our best (cough, to pilfer your term) wisdom, is to assume a God like superiority.
