Thanks for your kind and thoughtful response, Paul. Several things: I am graced with three very deep and powerful female friendships which are my rocks. They all have better besties than I am but I am important to them. They are my laugh circle and my sanity. Second, hell, my best humor comes from this stupid shit. I'd love to have loved fully, long and richly. I've had to learn to redirect that love inward, and to learn to love differently, by letting go of all ridiculous romantic notions about magical princes. I am my own prince, horse, princess and enchanted Kingdom all in one, and having worked at Disney World, I know whereof I speak.

And as for the sun, it's actually right now. The trees just leafed out, and from my deck the sun dips right into the V like melting ice cream into a green cone. It's lovely. And I am grateful.
