This is an important discussion. It’s not about “be like Steve” or “be like me” as I see so very often on Medium. The way I hear it, it’s so much more about finding our own voices. For far too many, that’s not available. That doesn’t mean forever, perhaps just not just yet. And for so many others, the idea doesn’t even occur. I think it’s key to keep the discussion going- but the throughline I keep seeing here is permission. Many of us never give ourselves that. And that is indeed a loss of potential, for those who do have unexpressed purpose.
