Thanks for making me laugh out loud. That’s what I loved so much about my buddy Sonja’s story. She was expecting chocolate, she got vanilla. And they struggle financially but they struggle together. When we manage our expectations — which is asking a great deal in today’s society of airbrushed nonsense — we make room for the kind of delicious, yummy surprises that Life has in store for those who are open to The Question. As in — know what? I know what I think I want, but that may not be what I need. The universe at large has a sneaky way of delivering what we need. Our problem is that when we reject it based on unfair prejudices, unreasonable expectations or an overblown ego, then we may miss out on a whole lotta love. We are constantly drawing to ourselves what we need. Our job is to learn to say yes, step into the river and see where it takes us.
