Thanks Ed. I actually do get plenty of it- from online dating bullies. Mostly from Trump voting, beer swilling, greasy-food-gorming men who are pissed off that I like, always have liked and have always dated younger athletes. Because I like muscle. I like discipline, commitment and a respect for the body.
Ed, I understand and have empathy for the terrors that aging can bring to a man (or woman). However I have no patience for people who shit all over other’s achievements because they got lazy, fat, sick, or whatever they drew into their lives. That. IS. NOT. MY . PROBLEM. My compassion ends the second someone becomes a spineless bully, male or female.
We are the sum of our stories and our choices. That said, we can rewrite the script pretty much any time as long as we are even minimally mobile, because we can always change our minds.
I am done paying the price for the mistakes others have made. I made plenty myself and did the work to clean it up. That this pisses others off, Ed, is not my problem.

BTW if you read Outside regularly you know that they took on the trolls who began to bitch when they wrote about sexual harrassment on the trails etc. Their response, which was ballsy, was effectively, don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out. About. Damned. Time.
