Thanks Arthur. Given that plenty of folks begin their medical training in middle age, getting their MDs close to 48, hell, there’s plenty of time. One woman (now passed on ) got her college diploma at 98.
Never is an awfully long time. For my dime, time is like taffy. When we focus on something we love, we are lost in it. Part of the pleasure of ageing is that I am continually finding new avenues, new highways, new countries. The only true limitations are internal, although admittedly the body does bark at me at times. Even then, like a 41-year-old quarterback, you learn to use very different competences as opposed to sheer athletic force. See where that got RGIII.
