Thank you so much Diana. Yours is the kind of comment that can lift me out of a rough day. A few hours ago I did four laps on the local stairs (I usually do up to 15) but hadn’t been out there since October. What I have learned is that the body has to ramp up. Just because I got warmed up and was in the mood for more doesn’t mean I should, because the price I pay is huge. So the gentler ramp up allows me minor soreness, which is the price I pay for off time- and I also look forward with complete confidence to being back to 15 laps in good time. The simple fact is that we earn it, it doesn’t happen overnight, and we can trust our bodies to be very eloquent when enough is enough.
As for dating, sigh. Doing my best. Right now I have a huge trip to train for, and a brand new book to write, and a lot on the plate. Being super busy with things I love is the best way I know how to be in life. I go riding at 1 pm, and being around my smelly love bugs is THE BEST.
