Thank god I never read this piece of trash book. However. I think that Ferriss, about whom I know nothing more than this article's outline, is no different from the parasites that populate Medium, the Ponzi schemers and all the rest who bark at us about making millions by buying their program on how to make millions selling how to make millions programs. As long as there are gullible, folks, Jessica, people will buy books designed just for them. I worked ninety hour weeks for a good long time as an entrepreneur, and so much of what I made went to paying my suppliers and the cost of the business that most years I made either nothing or less than five grand. I bought into that work hard notion years ago, still do, and that compulsion to grind my nose down on the wheel still dogs me. I have no private island, no vast collection of big cars. I do have a great deal more clarity about what I'm willing to do, which includes having a more balanced work life. I will never be able to stop working. Is what it is. At least these days I am doing what I love best, which is some kind of consolation, a big one, but there is no great fat padding of bank account in case shit happens. My working hard added to a lot of bank accounts, not necessarily my own, much of which was my own fault. However at this late juncture, there is no way I would ever pick up such a book again. There are too many people selling corn husks as cures for poverty. He's one of them. It's a special breed of huckster, if you will. And given your commenters, looks like some folks absolutely drink his brand of Koolaid.
