Tara, this is a howl. While I am sorry you have such a mother, I guaran-damn-tee you that at some point you are going to look back at this and nearly shit yourself laughing at it. I guarantee you. The sheer absurdity of it makes this prime comedy fodder. And here’s the piece. This is precisely the kind of thing that a Robin Williams or similar would nab, then stretch out like a piece of salt water taffy. The audience would be in stitches if for no other reason than they have a mother just like this. That’s what makes it funny. The stupid. Shit. People. Do. Laughing at it- because really, it is horrifically funny- denies it power, takes the wind out of her sails, and gives you permission to rise. As long as you and I are still angry (and trust me, I’m still working on the BF piece but I WILL get there) we are in their power. THAT is the energy suck. When we give permission to others to drain our joy. That’s our life blood. OURS. That they are empty of it themselves is not. Our. Fucking. Problem.
