Susan, isn’t it simply remarkable what people chose to be proud/superior/brag about? Isn’t it amazing that someone’s claim to fame is an eating disorder. That speaks to our obsession with self control, which is largely a lie anyway. When we’re that addicted to appearing to be in control, how revealing it is that we are that out of control that we need an OCD to demonstrate how in control we are. It’s very hard to see what we do, unless we’re willing to have a good laugh at it. With the grace of humor, we see our folly. When we take ourselves too seriously, we’re in jail.
