Susan, I understand your point, but I am discussing the movement of energy, not economics. I am not economist, nor do I pretend to understand or speak to such things. You’re taking this in a different direction from what I was illustrating. I don’t argue you point. The article isn’t about economic theory or zero sum games. I am making a very simplistic point about the movement of energy. Period full stop. I have no intention of getting into a hopeless argument about what I meant, or all the details about how there was never any intention of trying to say that all that energy exchange for each affected individual is or isn’t equal. PLEASE. Just a simple analogy to make a much larger point about energy movement. All due respect, that’s not my lane. And when we descend into nitpicking specifics rather than looking at the larger message, we do indeed miss the entire gist. I get that impression here, although I don’t know it. The example stands as I intended it. I acknowledge your explanation, but in the context in which this example was offered, not as an economic treatise, it really isn’t particularly relevant. I appreciate your comment and I also value your input.
