So over the last couple of days, JS. I saw an article by a Black woman writer effectively telling us White women to shit down and shut up and listen for a while before yapping. Stop centering ourselves. In that appalling way that we White women sometimes do, a White woman hijacks her thread and posts her own article about this, without the slightest understanding that the article was referring to that precisely behavior. In other words she shoulders in on an article about centering yourself as a White woman, effectively centering herself, and completely missed the point. I called that White writer out on it and even worse, this morning she apologized to ME, as if the Black writer didn't even exist. I wrote a tome of a response, pointing out that not only did she not get the point of the original article but to not understand where the apology should be directed, she is further insulting said Black writer by making her invisible to the discussion. I am sometimes sideswiped by such monumentally selfish, blind behavior.

And we wonder why Black folk are exhausted? Jeez Louise, Johnny. I make plenty of mistakes but any comedian could build a half-hour riff on this alone.
