Shamontiel, I am struck sometimes by those actors who manage to keep their business quiet, particularly at a time when we divulge way too much about business that really does need to be personal. For my part, Denzel remains one of my favorite of all actors, regardless of color. I heard in an interview one director, who is white, say he was the best actor of our time. I’d be hard pressed to argue. As for Black women? There are too many to choose from. I grew up writing fan mail to Harry Belafonte and Sammy Davis Jr. whose records we played at home. There is such a deep, rich vein of incredible talent. And we are so lucky to see it.
