West With the Night and Straight On Til Morning. I find it notable that in her own writing she largely ignores the romantic bits of her life- at least she does not make them front and center- and goes about making what is the stuff of legend far more important.

She was smart and tall and lovely and talented and gorgeous and a complete and utter outlier, reviled in her time and even now. Yet her legacy- with people like me and other girls and women who need to know that the price is worth it — lives on. Thanks for your response.
