Robert, I fully get it. Which is one reason I find this not only horrifying, but also terrifying, that we would drop that kind of dime for a device that we end up replacing as soon as the new one comes out. I agree with you- it is mainstream, especially to those die hard Apple enthusiasts.

I can appreciate anyone’s right to spend their hard won dollars as they like. However, when my friends and I replace our phones after a few years, we can’t find anything blessedly simple any more. Many of us are moving in the opposite direction of complexity and the time suck that our devices cause. I’ll be curious to see how the manufacturers respond to this, as there is definitely a growing market for it.
