One reason I haven't done that yet, Kris: all my travel notes have been in boxes stacked in the garage. It's taking months upon months for my social media guy to download some forty thousand travel photos, a job I just paid him for in part, and we are in the midst of all that. I fully plan to do that. Problem is, Kris, I need income. What is FAR more frustrating to me than not being able to travel is not being paid for an enormous amount of work. I badly needed that income this year in part to pay my social media guy who has been very patient with my finances. I can hang in the house and travel locally. That doesn't trouble me as much as what Medium did to its writers this year. My strong sense of justice really got a nosebleed. I agree with your idea, but I am currently looking for better places to publish my work than where it does little to help my cause with my clients (who bank on my follower numbers, which is why this is such bad news) and on top of that pays so little. So ,with all respect to your excellent idea, I am smack in the middle of a complete and utter redirection, I have boxes to unload, sort and put those materials where I can access them, I need to categorize them to find my material, and I have to completely re-think where I publish. Given the big move and the unending injuries, accidents and health issues, this has been a helluva year. Lately I've been in and out of the ER with an infected arm. Honestly, I would really just LOVE this year to come to an end, although Covid wont just because we have a calendar New Year. Believe me, I am with you- but I have to start pointing where it makes more sense financially and professionally.
