One of the most successful serial entrepreneurs I know, my (sadly) long dead mentor of 33 years used to tell me that the three smartest words she knew were “I don’t know.”
Then next three smartest words she knew were

“Please tell me.”

Given that her companies were hugely successful, that she sat on the boards of some of the biggest banks in America (and the world), that she was inducted into the Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame,

I might posit that she was pretty damned smart.
