One of my favorite lines from the silly -but-wonderful Magnificent Seven Remake: Denzel Washington’s character says this twice: What we lose in the fire, we find in the ashes.
Without storms we don’t know our strength. Without a test we are forever weak. By learning how to dance with Kali, we find peace in the eye of the storm. There is no growth, no life, no evolution without a storm.
The more we cower, the more we lose. As much as I am battered, I always end up stronger. To the extent I’m willing to go out and welcome the wind, I get better at riding them.
But not if I hide. Thanks for this, Ann.
