Not a single woman listed. Not a single female quote listed. Not a single mention of a superb female listed.
Mr. Ambler, you cannot help leaders grow if you ignore half the population. Plenty of examples of extraordinary leaders who are also women abound, you mention NONE of them, you quote NONE of them. I just wrote a piece about this yesterday. I am sick unto death of leadership articles that ignore women. I've been a leader, I teach leadership skills, wrote a prize winning book on leadership skills. And GASP I am a woman. What a shocker. As if by virtue of my tits and a vagina I cannot possibly. Your mention in your story of gender is a cork on the ocean. I would argue strenuously that the leadership of men in the world has led us to where we are today, sir, and the best run countries during Covid are all run by....WOMEN. While I would imagine that it is unintentional, the fact that we continue to write about men and only quote male leaders is also how we teach our girls where they belong. I suspect, Mr. Ambler, if you have a daughter, you might prefer that she not be so limited. Just saying. And kindly, I've not read your other work where you might perhaps touch on this, only this article, which does not. This attitude is so ancient, so out-dated. So.....male, and especially white male. Let's kindly please stop isolating and excepting women from the conversation when so many of them are demonstrating on a world stage how it's done at the international level, always have, and always will.
