Normally I would agree with all this except for the fact that I just got back from a month in Indonesia and used that time- during which I was wickedly sick- to consider very important changes that needed to happen. Hence, within a day I had called a realtor to sell my home and move to another state. However- and to your point- this was in process before I left. Being abroad didn’t bring the clarity. Hard personal work did. Sometimes taking ourselves out of context can move us out of habitual patterns and sometimes we can indeed see more clearly. But we have to be willing to see in the first place. I could have chosen that time to be miserable (my body was) but instead, it was a superb opportunity to do a lot of hard work.
