Nah. But I do have to drink fresh lemonade because of oxalate kidney stones. Here's my take Pete: The compulsion of every fuckwit on God's green earth to shove unsolicited hacks down our throats is SO OVER. For my part, I was always, will always be an early riser. So. Fucking. What. Does that make it imperative that YOU do it? About six years ago, suddenly, inexplicably, I started waking up at 3 am. I mean, WTF? I did some research. Turns out some folks, as we age, this happens. Few hours one way or the other, the body just shifts. I now have to cut my day short between 7:30 and 8 pm. No goddamned night life AT ALL. I wake up between 3 and 4 whether I want to or not. I was always a morning person, but SHIT. So, you deal. I write, workout, run. Until such time as this idiosyncratic body decides to let me damned well sleep in past five again. May not. However, there is nothing maximized about that. It irritates me that folks whose lives are way out of order decide that it's their life mission to inform us that OUR lives are out of order and please send me $297 and I'll fix it for you. My answer, fuck you mate. The body, its needs, preferences and all that are as individual as a fingerprint. We are morphing and changing. The only true answer is what works for Pete, what works for me, for now, this age, this activity level, whatever. That is fitness. Forcing ourselves to gorm mealy worms because Gwyneth Paltrow says it keeps her skin clear says a great deal about how gullible we are. And Christ are we gullible. There is NO hack that works, other than do the damned work to find out what works for us. I wish George Carlin were still alive. What he said about the Ten commandments is so true here so I''ll adapt it: thou shalt keep thy unsolicited life hacks to thyself.

Just saying.
