My Registered nurse- the one whom the VA provides me- is very much also a holistic medical provider, Tim. Just because someone looks at the whole, which is the root of holistic, doesn’t mean they aren’t medically trained. Therein lies one of the prejudices of our society. If you took half a second to look up the word “holistic,” Tim, you’d quickly discover that the dictionary clearly states that in medical terms, what it means is to take into account things like social and emotional factors, not just a single body part. Kindly, it doesn’t say quack, nor does it imply in any way, shape or form someone without formal medical training. I agree, it’s never too late to start, but it also helps enormously to work with providers who understand the enormous implications of our society and emotional pressures which can and do make us ill. Thanks for your comments.
