My mother was 39 for twenty one years. I was deeply embarrassed about that for her. I cannot countenance lying about any damned thing. As for online dating profiles, stuides reveal that some 81% of us lie about the Big Ones: Age, marital status, hair or lack thereof, money or lack etc, job status, blah blah blah. I find that morally reprehensible. Since I blog on aging vibrantly I would be experiencing daily cognitive dissonance if I misled people about such fundamentals.
I agree with Jayrow, below. Honestly, I am so very delighted that I'm alive and doing what I do in the world. It's appalling that society creates such abject fear.
