My absolute favorite rework of this hackneyed phrase (which made me fall out of my chair when I first read it)

Everything happens for a reason.

Sometimes it’s because you’re STUPID

and MAKE BAD DECISIONS.

If this didn’t completely apply to me I wouldn’t have laughed so hard.
