Unfortunately that's a pretty accurate read. After four years, I've watched what used to be a writers' and readers' oasis with a lovely pond get full of sewage: poor writing, hustlers, and Ponzi schemes. I'm gradually pulling up stakes for that reason and many more. There are good writers but if we follow them, their material goes to the bottom of our feeds. That's not worth your money, if you came here to read good people. You can't moderate taste, and the best writers either have slipped too far into outrage or they have moved on. I have stuck with it for too long, and bit by bit, am slipping off here to manage my own site. I am putting a lot of work into inviting folks over and that's going to take months. I wish I had better to say about things but it's not what it was, which makes me very sad.
