Melodie, have you read anything from the Backyard Church? The guy's name is Dan ( I can't dredge up the last name at the moment) and he penned a really interesting piece the other day about how his congregation nearly had a hissy fit when he referred to god as "she." I am not a believer in that sense, but I sure find his willingness to call out the hypocrisy of the church he has faith in fascinating. Sorry about leaping onto this so late, I was going over ancient comments and one of yours caught my eye so was doing some sleuthing. I've been out of country and got way behind. You and I could have a VERY long coffee about religion- and no small number of guffaws. Have you ever read When God Was a Woman? or God a Human History, by Reza Aslan? Good stuff, all of it. I am intrigued by religious history, which is far more interesting than religion, which tends to be a lotta dicks waving their tools in the air. I'm the kind of person that Jehovah's Witnesses learn to leave the hell alone. I read this Kent cretin's comments and wonder at your patience. I'd have blocked him right away.
