Medium Formats: Need Advice for an Older iPad Can Anyone Help?
I am looking for help from my peeps on here. I am part of the Partner program. I have been traveling with an older iPad which has Safari on it. This past April I wrote a number of articles, none of which qualified for payment because according to Medium (back when someone took the time for a thoughtful response anyway) it was the “wrong format.”
Fine. So I wrote recently to Medium’s inquiry and asked them to please answer this question: if I downloaded Chrome onto my iPad, would that qualify?
The answer I got from Medium was that they sent me a list of the acceptable browsers. That list is readily available to anyone who can do some basic navigation on this site. And it doesn’t answer my question, which I sent back and asked again. No one responded.
So I am asking my fellow writers, does any of you use an iPad to do your articles FOR PAYMENT, and that’s the kicker, using Chrome downloaded onto your tablet as opposed to Safari?
Can anyone answer this question since Medium’s employees are not responding or, possibly, don’t know? I’m trying to avoid buying a new computer simply to be able to write articles while on travel.
The other question is whether or not anyone else spends a lot of time on the road, writes for Medium and has a suggestion for a super lightweight computer with the right OS, browser, etc.?
I’m no techie- and I would really appreciate your advice.
