As I prepare for a long-awaited return to Africa next week, I was listening to the movie Lucy in the background. There are two times in the movie where the narrator says something to the effect (and I am rewording this on purpose) you were given life. What did you do with it?

Precisely. I'm triple vaccinated. Mask everywhere, isolate and self-quarantine most of the time. So far, so good. However, there are some terrifying eventualities. Our collective stupidity, which seems to be related to our inability to acknowledge science as different from politics (don't get me started) is going to kill a shitton of folks. Some, well, good riddance. A great many others, a tragedy.
