Lovely, heartbreaking, difficult, important, sad, uplifting. Too many words.

Some time back an Aussie writer whose work I was follow spat on the idea of gratitude. Okay. Look. He's thirty years younger than I am. Those years, the people that time takes from us, teach you to rethink in every way the beauty of a new dawn. I take the time to thank whatever IS for having been given another day. Lots of people weren't. And the older I get, the more aware I am that the days I have, I really, truly need to be thankful for.
