Lots to love in this response Kerry. I share some of this with you. While my dad had a drinking problem he didn’t suffer from the traditions of the day. Like your dad, my father was a rider…of horses. I got tossed on top of a full-sized horse at four. Working for and with my father taught me business and people skills. His assumption that I would be able to lift a 100 lb bag of molasses sweet feed into a bin nearly my own height was well justified. There is no doubt that those messages gave us both confidence and the will to succeed, especially in male-dominated fields (although computer programming began with women, which you know full well.) These are the gifts of good Dads. Thanks so much for your comments.
