Let's just call this what it is: most meetings are pointless, video or not. Far too many of them are bully pulpits for foolish folks who love to throw their weight around. People have no idea how to run one, how to manage one and make them work so that people actually get value out of them. They are mostly and forever a stupid waste of time. Mostly. Some meetings are useful. When I ran them, we had tight rules, people got what they came for and we started and ended on time. Those three things have a way of making meetings a lot more palatable. Otherwise, really, wtf? We don't need any more stinking meetings.
