Julia, I have been fortunate to own two Blueys (Heeler, the Aussie Cattle dog) and a Hungarian Viszla, which I adopted from our Dumb Friends League. The Blueys died young, one from a truck hit and the other a broken spine. I hardly survived. The Viszla gave me so much love over the remainder of her life I still feel her in my lap. My challenge is the travel schedule. I am looking at another Bluey right now, but have to be very mindful of how often I am on the road. Most folks can’t or won’t give a Bluey the kind of exercise they need. So, yah, on one hand I really would love another puppers but on the other I have to consider their social needs.
