Jesse, while I am engaged to a degree with social media, your statement "to the hilt" is way off the mark. I spend some time writing every day, composing articles is not in and of itself engaging with social media especially since I am planning to cherry pick a number of those articles for a book. I can easily punch out an article or two under an hour. That's not constant. I will give Medium an hour or two most days, but "to the hilt" implies constant. First, you don't know my schedule, you have no idea how I live my life, and with all the respect in the world for how differently we all live, this is a grotesque overstatement. In reality, Jesse, social media gets a fraction of my time each day. A FRACTION. The rest of the time I am out living. Working out, hiking, working with the horses at my stable, at the gym, on and on and ON. So while your opinion is most certainly yours, I might respectfully ask that you not make such a sweeping statement about someone else's life about which you truly know absolutely nothing. I would not dishonor your unique life by attempting to dictate to you how you live yours. With that being said, I appreciate the compliment on my writing. Beyond that please kindly do not tell me how I live my life unless you live in his house or inside this skin suit, which I inhabit by myself. You can only speak for yourself, just as I can only speak for myself.
