It's a classic case of projection. They love to accuse anyone who doesn't agree with them as a snowflake, when that is precisely what they are doing themselves. Devoid of any kind of self-assessment, they can't see that this is what they're doing. Worse, those who have actually been to school (to your point about stupid people getting degrees and being less than average but with credentials as valid as my toilet paper) know what projection means but don't possess the wherewithal to understand how it applies to themselves.

As for sass, sass implies a sense of humor about the absurd, Jessica. The older I get, the funnier I find my own stupidity, my own fails. That is my best comedy material. I don't see any of that on the neo-con side. That lack of emotional maturity is just part of the problem, but sass involves intelligence, wit and a certain self-deprecating sense of humor. Without it life just fucking sucks. For them, it does, but not for the same reason it might for a great many others who suffer at their hands. With any luck, decades of pure, undadulterated hate will further weaken their immune systems and Darwin takes over. I read a very sad piece yesterday by a young man who lost his mother to Fox News. My social media guy lost his gram to Fox News. Their mental hygiene is totally screwed and they are paying the price. While Darwin himself eschewed the skewed and misread notion of survival of the fittest, part of me has to wonder, and I am neither religious nor a Biblical scholar, if this is part of what "the meek shall inherit the earth" means. That's just me, but hate kills, starting from the inside. Thanks for your response.
